I bought WinWin several days ago and the system didnt work.

ZINSTALL WINWIN KEY SOFTWARE

The Five Star rating might be one star overly generous only because I did not have to rely on tech support for anything but I figure that since the software worked as well as it did and I didn't have a need to rely on support that the 5th star was deserved. Thankfully, this product worked as advertised and has earned my trust. Having done this too many times before, I really didn't want to have to do it this time unless absolutely necessary. Final thoughts: In a perfect world, I probably would have backed up my target PC, installed a clean OS, and then reinstalled all software and transferred files.

Regardless, this was easily done and now I basically have two identical machines (the target unit really just serving as a back up until the source PC fails.and that may not be long).

The only thing I ran into with a couple of programs was that I had to reactivate licenses on the target machine (found it odd that some programs required me to do so while others did not and I'm guessing the transfer software had no part in this). After the three hour process completed (basically me starting it and then walking away to let Zinstall do its thing) the transfer was completed without issue! To be direct, I was anticipating some issues and was pleasantly surprised that, for the most part, things went incredibly smooth. The results: I opted to use a cross over cable for direct connection between the two machines (not a requirement).

My scenario: I'm an educator who needed to transfer all files and programs from an older Windows 10 PC to another "not as old" Windows 10 PC without losing files on either machine (both with different hardware). I suggest you find another solution- I REALLY wish I had. wait for it.36% complete! This was relatively expensive for some really buggy and HORRIBLY inefficient SW. It's now 32GB of 422GB transferred and still shows. Seems I will have to babysit this for hours.

Took half the time to reboot the old PC than it does for this application to detect a connection on the new PC. Restarted the old PC but it's been over 10 minutes for the application on the new PC to reconnect and start the transfer again. Complains about the connection between the PCs but gives no indication its having issues until it just stops transferring. Its going to take a REALLY long time to transfer, imagine if it was over WiFi. Shows its writing to HDD at only 700KB/s while loading the Intel core I3-8100 CPU at 38%. Still shows 36% complete with 19GB of 422GB transferred. This is RIGHT AFTER SUPPLYING A DOWNLOAD KEY FOR THE EXECUTABLE!) SW is extremely slow to start, took 10+minutes to detect I needed a windows update, really? Took several minutes to detect the PC it was running on- the brand new one! Progress shows 36% complete but only 13GB of 422GB have transferred. Requires both PCs be connected to the internet (SW just fails to initialize with no error message several times until finally it tells you it needs an internet connection to 'validate' itself.

ZINSTALL WINWIN KEY HOW TO

First requires ethernet connection between the two PCs but no info on how to configure. ZInstall 'Easy migration' is everything but easy. SLOW and Anything but 'Easy' Not worth $$$
